Police have shot dead a suspected criminal, Kennedy Mafunga, 32, with seven others escaping unhurt for an attempted break-in at Kangankunde Central Poultry farm in Balaka
Senzani Police Officer In-Charge, John Brigadier Mikuku,has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying the incident happened on Friday.
According to Mikuku, for the past three weeks, armed thugs had been invading the farm with the intention to steal chickens.
Mafunga died at Kankao rural hospital where his accomplices after escaping took him to get treatment this morning, 13 kilometers away from the crime scene.
