Leader of concerned citizens grouping, Bon Kalindo has joined calls for those advocating for the formation of federal system of Government in the country.

Kalindo said this during a press briefing in Blantyre on Tuesday, 10 January.

He argued that it’s a trend now in the country for a sitting president to favor people from his region by loping them in various parastatals and other government agencies at the expense of people from other regions.

He then accused President Lazarus Chakwera’s led administration of practicing nepotism as well.

“Forming of federal system of Government is the only way Malawians can share the national cake equally” said Kalindo.

The outspoken Kalindo also called upon Chakwera and his vice Dr Saulos Chilima to step down from their positions within 10 days for failing to fulfill campaign promises such as creating 1 million jobs and failing to manage the economy which has pushed alot of Malawians into poverty.

Kalindo also accused the Tonse led government of overseeing the looting of maize by party loyalists at National food Reserve Agency (NFRA) among some.

The activist cum comedian warned that if Chakwera and his vice will not heed to the call to resign within 10 days, he will mobilize people for national wide demonstrations.
