Senior chief Kaduya of Phalombe has fired Group Village Headman Chabuka, for soliciting money from his subjects on pretext that they would help them timely access farm inputs in the ongoing Affordable Input Programme (AIP).

Senior Chief Kaduya has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press

According to Kaduya, GVH Chabuka has been collecting money ranging from K3000 to K5000 claiming the money was meant for SFFRFM official’s fuel.

She added that she has also suspended for five months two Group Village Heads on similar conduct.

Centre for Social Accountability and Transparency and Accountability (CSAT) executive director, Willy Kambwandira, has commended the TA for the decision adding it will bring sanity in the initiative.
