The United States Africa Development Foundation (USADF) has provided a grant of K120 million to Nchena Livestock Limited to support their expansion into agribusiness in Neno district.

The grant aims to improve the livelihoods of individuals living with non-communicable diseases by allowing them to remain productive and support themselves financially.

According to USADF Country Programs Coordinator Linda Ndovie Jere, the grant also aims to improve the diets of those living with non-communicable diseases through the development of poultry and vegetable farming.

The Cooperative’s secretary, Yonas Katema, expressed gratitude towards Umodzi Consulting for connecting them to the USADF and stated that the grant will be used to support the 166 members of the cooperative.
