Two-year-old Girl Dies in Tragic Accident In Mulanje

A tragic incident occurred at Siloni Nursery School in Mulanje District on Thursday, January 19, 2023 when a two-year-old girl, Pheodise Gogoda, was playing around a tree-protecting basket and got entangled in the hooks, causing her to be pinned by the neck.
Despite being rushed to Lujeri Tea Estate Dispensary, she was pronounced dead by medical professionals.
The postmortem revealed that the cause of death was suffocation.
Mulanje police public relations officer Innocent Moses has confirmed the incident.
