Citizens in Mulanje are preparing to hold demonstrations tomorrow to express their dissatisfaction with the current government led by President Lazarus Chakwera.

The demonstrations come after a ten-day ultimatum was issued to Chakwera by a group of citizens, accusing him and his administration of failing to address the socio-economic challenges facing the country.

The leader of the group, Bon Kalindo, stated that people are ready to take to the streets to voice their concerns.

He also called on the donor community to freeze aid to Malawi and redirect it to non-governmental organizations, stating that the government’s efforts to improve the economy have been insufficient.

Government has not yet responded to Kalindo’s accusations
