A recent incident in Lusaka, Zambia has raised concerns about the safety of mobile money transactions.
A female mobile money agent was left without payment after a customer transferred K5,000 and ran away without giving her the cash.
According to reports, the female mobile money agent was approached by the customer to transfer K5,000 to his account.
After the transaction was completed, the customer received the cash and instead of paying the agent, he fled the scene.
The mobile money agent was left without payment for the services rendered.
The authorities have been notified of the incident and are investigating the matter.
