Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that health workers at Mwanza District Hospital are on strike paralyzing all hospital operations.
The health workers have started the sit-in this morning demanding an explanation for the alleged missing of three months funding at the facility.
One of the workers who spoke on condition of anonymity claimed that the workers are failing to work in the absence of necessities like fuel, water, stationery, sanitary items and food, and will return to work once everything is sorted.
The source also claimed that they are not given their locum allowances.
Mwanza District Commissioner, Dr. Martha Sineta refused to comment on the matter.
