Political experts are expecting the president to address the nation on issues affecting Malawians in their everyday lives.
The expectation comes as President Lazarus Chakwera is expected to preside over the opening of the 50th parliamentary session on February 17, 2023, before the house meets until the end of April for the national budget review.
According to Humphreys Mvula, a political expert, he expects the president to address issues of corruption and what the government is doing to alleviate the rising cost of living for Malawians.
Mvula wants Chakwera to talk about the issues affecting the fight against corruption and outline his government’s plans to tackle the rising cost of living.
It remains to be seen what the president will say in his address, but it is clear that Malawians are eager for action and solutions to the problems they are facing.
