Nankhumwa disrupt Chakwera’s address with an appeal for water

Leader of Opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa, standing on a point of order as Chakwera was speaking, said while the Speaker was enjoying a bottle of water, there was no water for others.

The appeal attracted ululations from the opposition MPs.

Responding to Nankhumwa, Speaker Catherine Gotani Hara said the matter had been resolved.

She assured that the MPs would be provided with water.

Meanwhile, MPs and guests have now been served with the bottled water.
