A Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) pastor in Botswana has been linked to the murder of a suspected Zimbabwean commercial sex worker. The pastor, Marvin Pelonomi Radihephi, allegedly killed 48-year-old Warricious Bhunu after he solicited sex services from her. The incident took place in Maun on Christmas Eve, and Bhunu’s body was found in her rented room the next morning.
Radihephi, who is married and based in Francistown, had reportedly traveled to Maun to visit his home village. He is said to have spent most of the day with a female friend before dropping her off and using her car, a VW. The pastor allegedly spent the night with Bhunu, who was found dead the next morning.
Bhunu’s friend discovered her motionless body lying naked on the floor, with used condoms beside her. Witnesses had reportedly noted down Radihephi’s car registration number, which led to his arrest while he was in possession of the same car.
The pastor has been apprehended and remanded in custody while Bhunu’s body has been repatriated back to Zimbabwe.
