A serious road accident occurred on the Magalasi-HHI road near the Puma-Namiwawa filling station, where a minibus and a truck collided, leaving a dozen people injured.
The minibus, with registration number CK 9729, was reportedly stationary at the filling station as it was dispatching a passenger when the truck, with registration number CZ 8263, collided with it. Ndirande traffic police officers have since taken the truck driver into custody.
Eye-witnesses have reported that the injured victims were immediately rushed to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre for medical attention.
