Information reaching this publication indicates that well-known Zambian Journalist Nathan Mbawa died together with his girlfriend over the weekend.
Mbawa and his girlfriend identified as Rosemary Tonga were involved in road accident. It is said that Mbawa died on the spot while Rosemary was taken and admitted at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) where was later pronounced dead.
“It is with great sadness that we announce to the general public that Nathan Mbawa, Rosemary and Serah around 02:00hrs along 6 miles round about were involved in an accident and Rosemary was taken and admitted at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) and she was later pronounced dead. In the same car there was a Beastie to Rosemary by the name of Serah, fortunately she came out safe without any injury,” reads in part the statement.
The two will be laid to rest today.
