MP Yeremia Chihana endorses Mutharika as DPP’s Presidential Candidate in 2025 polls

Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) Member of Parliament for Mzimba North Constituency Yeremia Chihana has endorsed former President Peter Mutharika as Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) torchbearer in the forthcoming 2025 Presidential polls.
Chihana disclosed this when responding to the State of the Nation Address (SONA) delivered last week by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
Chihana said Chakwera has failed to deliver and has disappointed so many Malawians hence a need for Professor Peter Mutharika return.
Mutharika is yet to comment on the matter but recently he hinted that he is consulting his family on whether to contest again or not in 2025 polls.
Meanwhile, the opposition DPP is scheduled to hold its elective conference in July this year.
