Chitipa South Member of Parliament Wellan Chilenga has faulted the government through the Ministry of Tourism for failure in utilizing available resources to market the country’s Tourism sector.
According to Chilenga, the officials from the ministry of tourism are busy sleeping on their job and doing nothing.
He said that the ministry is failing to advertise tourism works internally.
Chilenga also cited expensive in charges of hotels and bad road networks as some of the factors affecting the tourism sector in the country.
He has therefore asked the government to intervene and address this issue by putting much effort and proper marketing strategies for the country to benefit from the tourism industry.
