Police in Solwezi have detained motivational speaker Mubita Nawa in connection with the offence of giving false information to a public officer and assault.
According to a report published by ZNBC, Central Province Police Commissioner, David Chileshe has confirmed in a telephone interview that Mr Nawa, is due to be transported to Mkushi were the alleged crime was commissioned.
Mr Nawa is jointly charged with nine other people who include a couple of Lusaka, Mr and Mrs Kanguya who were also apprehended.
Mr Chileshe explained that Mr Nawa allegedly gave Police officers in Mkushi information that government had allegedly given Sacko Mine to the youths.
He said Mr Nawa was accompanied by Mr and Mrs Kanguya and about 12 other people and that the information was given to about 50 youths.
Mr Chleshe said a fight later ensued following the scramble for the mine and nine people were assaulted in the process.
He said the nine later logged a complaint with the police.
