Vice President Saulos Chilima is this morning opening a High-Level Emergency Ministerial Meeting on Cholera and Climate Related Public Health Emergencies at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe.

Chilima is opening the meeting on behalf of President Lazarus Chakwera who is in Doha, Qatar.

The meeting, which has attracted delegates from 14 African countries, has been organised by the Africa Centre for Disease Control through the African Union, the World Health Organisation and Unicef.

During the meeting, the ministers are expected to strategise on how to end cholera by 2030.
