Meteorological Services refute false social media post on heavy rain in Lilongwe

Officials from the Meteorological Services have issued a statement refuting a post circulating on social media that claims Lilongwe will experience heavy rainfall today.

Principal Meteorologist Yobu Kachiwanda has confirmed that the post is fake and has urged the public to ignore it.

The false post, which has been widely shared on various social media platforms, has caused panic among some Lilongwe residents who fear that heavy rainfall could cause flooding and damage to their properties.

However, Kachiwanda has reassured the public that there are no indications of heavy rainfall or any other adverse weather conditions in the Lilongwe.
