President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is scheduled to hold meeting with former Presidents of Malawi amid cyclone freddy which has claimed lives of over 400 Malawians.
Chakwera disclosed this in a state of the national address on Sunday from Kamuzu Palace aimed at updating Malawians on what is happening on the ground regarding rescue mission on people trapped by water in the Southeren part of Malawi.
According to Chakwera, he is scheduled to meet the former leaders on Thursday this week.
The agenda of the meeting is to find means and ways how the three leaders can work together in helping people affected by cyclone freddy.
President Chakwera is expected to meet His Excellency Dr Bakili Muluzi, Her Excellency Dr Joyce Banda and His Excellency Prof. Peter Mutharika at Sanjika Palace in Blantyre.
The State President will also be visiting other places, where he was unable to visit due to impassable roads, from Thursday, 23 March 2023.
