Police in Mzimba have launched man hunting for unknown assailants who killed three people in the district

Public Relations Officer for Mzimba Police, Peter Botha has confirmed the development and said that the first case involves the murder of William Gausi.

Gausi’ body was found two days later in a bush about a kilometre from his village with his head cut off, one eye removed and beside his body was a piece of wood suspected to have been used in the murder.

Botha said that postmortem conducted at Mzimba District Hospital revealed that Gausi died due to head injuries secondary to assault and loss of blood.

In the other two cases, Botha said that police are also investigating the murder of Oscar Chiumia and Symon Mvula who were killed in separate incidents within a space of a month in the district

William Gausi was 41 years old hailed from Lazaro Gausi Village in the area of Traditional Authority Mzikubola, Oscar Chiumia was also 41 yeard-old came from Chiumia Village and Symon Mvula was 68 years-old hailed from Chiganga Village both in TA Chindi Mzimba District.
