Teachers at St Andrew’s International Primary School in Blantyre are holding a peaceful strike to demand the resignation of the school’s headteacher. Among their concerns is the way the school’s finances are being handled.
The teachers have vowed to continue the strike until their demands are met. Speaking on behalf of the striking teachers, a representative said, “We have had enough of the way things are being run here. We want the headteacher to resign, and we will not back down until that happens.”
The school’s management was not immediately available for comment.
