Government has commended the Donation of Chunzu primary school in Dowa district during the handover ceremony.

The school has been constructed by Great Minds Bright Futures to support government in ensuring that inclusive and equitable education is accessible to all learners in Dowa.

The Minister of Education Hon Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima MP has express gratitude with the development and describe it as rare gesture of constructing and handing over a whole school.

Wirima said the school has been handed over at an opportune time when the Ministry is planning to increase number of classrooms to reduce the pupil/classroom ratio.

“I am optimistic that the school will go a long way in providing uninterrupted education services to communities in this area,” said wirima.

Therefore, Wirima urged the community around Chunzu Primary School to jealously guard the new infrastructure and all the property at this school against theft and vandalism so that future generations continue to benefit from it

In his remarks Dave Armstrong Founder of Great Minds Bright Futures said the school donation has come after noticing some bad conditions the school had.

Armstrong also said that they are building orphan day care center close to the school to support orphans in the District.
