Zambia First Lady Mutinta Hichilema on Sunday failed to control her emotions at the funeral of Pastor Sylvester Chilimba Hamavwa, in Monze Township.
In the photos seen by this publication, the first lady is seen in tears and being helped to walk to the podium by the country President Hakainde Hichilema.
writing on his official facebook page after the funeral Zambia President said Pastor Hamavwa was the pillar of his family.
“With my wife Mutinta earlier today, we joined fellow mourners in putting to rest our uncle, Pastor Sylvester Chilimba Hamavwa, in Hamavwa village, Monze District, Southern province.
“Uncle Hamavwa was a pillar in the family who will be sorely missed,” wrote Hakainde Hichilema.
He added: “It is now upon us as a family to carry on with his vision of unity of purpose. Our appeal to the Nation is that we must all remain united and focus on things that give us the strength to conquer today and tomorrow with vigour.”
