A report released by the United Nations office on drugs and crime has suggested that new hubs for trafficking cocaine have emerged in West and Central Africa.

The report states that traffickers are now using modern ways like parcel and courier services to get drugs to customers.

Commenting on the report, Executive Director of Drug Fight Malawi Nelson Zakeyo, has said that the report is very worrisome and the findings have to be given full attention taking into consideration that Malawi is one of the countries in Central Africa.

Zakeyo added that Malawi should strengthen measures aimed at fighting against illegal drug activities in an effort to protect the citizenry.
