An angry mob in Ntchisi has allegedly stoned to death a 35-year-old man on suspicion that he had poisoned his colleague he went to drink beer with in the district.
An eye witness, Bright Nickson said the man, Damiano Gomani was stoned to death last night at Chikanda Village in the area of Traditional Authority Kasakula.
Nickson said a few days ago, Gomani and his colleague, Chikumbukireni Simbi 38, went to drink beer at a certain bar in the area.
He claimed whilst there, Gomani allegedly put poison secretly in the beer when his colleague had gone out briefly and while on his way home alone, Simbi reportedly felt unwell and later died.
The eye witness added that the death, an angry mob mobilized and stoned Gomani to death for allegedly poisoning his colleague.
Police have confirmed about the incident and say they have since launched a manhunt for the suspects.
