In fulfillment of its corporate social responsibility, Super League of Malawi (SULOM) on Sunday made a donation of 500 bags of assorted items worth about K19 million to the government in support of Tropical Cyclone Freddy survivors.

The donation in form of food packs consisting of 20kgs maize flower, 2kgs Rice, 5kgs Likuni phala, 4kgs Sugar,1kg salt, Soya pieces1 litre cooking oil , soap and body lotion has been handed over through the Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA) at an event held in Blantyre.

Speaking at the event Sulom President Fleetwood Haiya heaped praise on the TNM Super League clubs, Into Sports Limited and Nyasa Manufacturing Company (NMC) among other stakeholders for their contributions towards the initiative.

DoDMA Deputy Director of risk reduction Fredson Chikuse hailed Sulom for its gesture saying the support would go a long way in alleviating the suffering of people who survived the devastating floods.
