Authorities in the Ministry of Education (MoE) have said all necessary procedures and protocols were exhausted before taking over the school from the organization to government.

Ex-owners of chimbota Community organization approached the ministry after failing to run the school. Chiefs, Community were all consulted prior to hand overs

Public Relations Officer in the Ministry of Education Mphatso Nkuonera, said the ministry learned of the u-tuning on the matter through the media adding the accusation are unsubstantiated.

He however, said once approached the ministry will consult relevant stakeholders to come to the bottom of the story.

“We need time to understand this situation. The ministry’s position will therefore be known and communicated after thorough consultations. We find these accusations groundless and questionable, Nkuonera said.

Chimbota ex-owners started requesting for a hand over process in June, 2022 and it was thoroughly concluded by August, the same year.

Chimbota Secondary started its operations as a district girls’ boarding secondary school in  September, 2022 with first selection of form ones.
