Healthcare workers at Mchinji District Hospital in Malawi have submitted a petition demanding the removal of four senior officials whom they accuse of displaying unethical and unprofessional conduct when discharging their duties as frontline managers.

The workers allege that the officials, including Principal Hospital Administrator Devilious Mwale, discharge their duties corruptly and verbally intimidate and emotionally harass their subordinates.

The petition has been addressed to the Secretary for Health through the District Commissioner for Mchinji and the Ministry of Local Government. The workers are calling for the responsible authorities to take action against the accused officials.

Mwale has responded to the allegations, stating that he will wait for justice to prevail as the concerns have been addressed to relevant bodies.

The Director of Administration for Mchinji district council, Reymond Nkhonya, received the petition on behalf of the DC and has promised to forward it to the responsible authorities.
