Man fined MK200,000 for burning hands of two girls

Thyolo Magistrate’s Court has fined Pilirani Damiano K200 000 or in default serve a 24-month jail term for burning the hands of two girls she suspected to have stolen green maize from her garden.
Damiano, from Alufazema Village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Mlolo, in Nsanje District, was convicted on her own admission of guilty, that she put the hands of the girls on fire and they got burned.
The girls come from Matthias Village in the area of the same T/A in Nsanje District.
