One person is reported dead while eight others have been rushed on Ntcheu District Hospital after a truck loaded with goods rammed into several vehicles near Old Ntcheu Bus Terminal.
Ntcheu Police Public Relations Officer Rabecca Ndiwate has confirmed of the accident in an interview with the press, saying the accident happened this morning.
According to Ndiwate, the driver of the truck registration number BJ 2227 from Balaka wanted to overtake the said three vehicles and in the process lost control due to overspeeding.
The victims are currently receiving treatment at Ntcheu District Hospital.
The law enforces are currently on the scene.
