One of the country’s Adult literacy education stakeholders Deutscher Volkshochschul Verband (DVV) International has expressed gratitude with good progress in conducting adult literacy education in the country.

According to Deutscher Volkshochschul Verband (DVV) International Communications and program officer Dyson Mthawanji ,the introduction of adult literacy education policy and it’s 5 years strategic plan has helped the sector to conduct the lessons successfully and enhance easy community participation.

Mthawanji Said they have introduced other programs and skills on top of adult literacy education as one way of ensuring more male attraction In order to achieve the 50/50 percent of lessons attendance by both men and women.

However, Mthawanji has expressed concerns with the shortage of funds allocated towards the exercise carried out in the adult literacy education, hence calling on government to consider addressing the issue for proper operations of programs.
