The National Commission for Science and Technology has revealed that the country has secured funds from Grand Challenge Initiative which will priorities  Humanitarian Crises to solve Cyclone Freddy challenges.

This comes as the country is still recovering from the impacts of cyclone Freddy which highly affected some districts in the Southern Region.

Gift Kadzamira Acting Director General for National Commission for Science and Technology said malawi has selected Humanitarian Crises as its first priority area to solve Cyclone Freddy impacts.

According to kadzamira the Grand Challenge fund will foster realization of approaches in the country’s blueprint of vision 2063.
