Two people have been rushed to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in the commercial capital Blantyre after a minibus they were travelling in rammed into three other vehicles at Chichiri roundabout.

According to reports published by the state controlled Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) online, the accident occurred when the minibus registration number TO 6284, developed break failure.

Due to the problem, the driver of the minibus who is yet to be identified lost control of the vehicle and in the process he hit three other vehicles in front of him.

Police in Blantyre are yet to comment on the matter.
