Police in Kilifi town in Kenya on Thursday recovered 11 more bodies from mass graves, taking the starvation cult death toll to 109.

The remains unearthed from the land belonging to cult leader Paul Mackenzie are said to be those of his followers, according to police.

A police report released to the press stated that of the 11 bodies found in 10 graves, six were adults and five were children.

Addressing the press, Hassan Musa, manager of the Coast region for the Kenya Red Cross, stated that family members had reported the missing individuals to the Public Information, Tracing, and Support Center.

Over the past week, Kenya has been grappling with the discovery of a starvation cult involved in mass killings of its members.

The cult, led by pastor Paul Mackenzie, has so far claimed the lives of 109 people whose remains have been found in mass graves on his property.

In response to these horrific discoveries, the government has declared a 30-day curfew in the affected area and banned media access to the exhumation sites.
