Government has ‘forgiven’ Ichocho Power Security with a condition that Yassin Suwedi, its Founder continues an individual case in court, a move that means that the company can now operate.

The revocation came when Suwedi claimed in a video that he had kidnapped Tonderai, son of an eminent lawyer Jai Banda, contents that government felt puts national security at risk.

On Tuesday, the company appeared before a disciplinary committee at ministry of homeland security in Lilongwe.

Ken Zikhale Ng’oma, Minister of Homeland Security said they considered several factors to rescind the decision to revoke the license and that the viral video was done by a first time offender.

Ng’oma has however indicated that Suwedi will continue answering an individual case in court as is expected to take plea on 8th May.

Meanwhile George Kasakula Chairperson for Ichocho Power Security has promised that their executive Suwedi will not commit a similar offence in the future.
