Former Speaker of Parliament Henry Chimunthu Banda who is also Member of Parliament for Nkhotakota North Constituency has endorsed former President Peter Mutharika as torchbearer for the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in 2025 polls.
Ahead of the 2020 fresh Presidential polls Chimunthu Banda endorsed President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera as the right candidate for the polls.
Speaking at his home (Kaongozi) in his Nkhotakota North constituency, Chimunthu Banda said the Tonse Alliance Government has miserably failed and sees nobody other than APM to redeem the country from the economic mess.
Banda was meeting with the Constituency and District committees to outline development initiatives in his Nkhotakota North Constituency.
During the meeting, Henry Chimunthu Banda also declared his intention to compete as DPP MP candidate in 2025.
