The body of journalist, Nomsa Mkandawire Taulo, a former Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and Malawi Institute of Journalism employee has been laid to rest at HHI cemetery in Blantyre.

Scores of people attended the sendoff, whose eulogies described her as someone who worked hard to develop her home and country.

Until her death, Taulo was working with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in South Sudan as a Communications specialist and innovations analyst.

She died suddenly in Lilongwe on Saturday few hours after her arrival from South Sudan where she was working since last year.

Taulo is survived by a husband and child.
