Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that former President Peter Mutharika has called for an emergency meeting for Central Executive for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) at PAGE house in the eastern district in Mangochi.
According to inside sources, the meeting has been called to discuss a number of issues rocking the party including calls for former President to contest again in the 2025 polls.
Another agenda is to look at the recent dismissals and court battles that Charles Mchacha and three other big wigs from north have threatened to take against the party for removing them unceremoniously.
The top blasts will also brainstorm on the elective conference slated for this coming July.
