The Industrial Court in Blantyre has blocked the Directorate of Road Traffic and Services from proceeding with the recruitment of road traffic officers and assistant road traffic officers.
This follows a complaint that 28 employees that had been upgrading made before the courts.
The officers felt the decision to recruit new officers was infringing on their chances of being promoted to the said positions.
Lawyer for the employees Mauya Msuku confirmed of the court order.
