11 Year Old Boy Drowns In Nsanje

An eleven year old boy has drowned in the Shire river in Nsanje district after he went swimming near Dinde dock with his friends yesterday.
Nsanje police spokesperson, Sub-Inspector Agnes Zalakoma has identified the boy as McDuff Mtope.
Zalakoma told the press that the boy who hails from Kamoto village in the area of Traditional Authority Juma in Mulanje, left home with friends to play without the knowledge of his parents before the incident.
Postmortem of the body which was discovered hours later shows he died of suffocation.
