Preliminarily autopsy report surrounding the death of former reporter of Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) Nomsa Mkandawire Taulo indicates that she died of food poisoning.
Nomsa died on May 6, 2023 at a hospital in Lilongwe, a day after she arrived back from Juba where she was based.
Until her death worked as a communication and innovations analyst for the UNDP in South Sudan.
Speaking in an interview with one of the local daily papers (Nation Publications Limited), Nomsa’s uncle Mylord Jere said he is deeply shocked with the reports.
Meanwhile, some Malawians have taken to social media asking authorities to investigate Nomsa’s death.
