A 14 year old girl, Moles Mwandila has died after committing suicide at Lubinga in Mzuzu.
The girl went missing on May 16, 2023 and matter was reported to Police who launched investigations immediately. She was found dead on May 21, 2023 in a decomposed state in a chicken kraal suspectedly after she had committed suicide.
The scene was visited by police officers along with medical personnel.
Postmortem conducted at Mzuzu Central Hospital revealed that Moles Mwandila who hailed from Vumo village, Traditional Authority Nthalire in chitipa district died due to strangulation.
This is contrary to social media reports indicating that the girl was killed by her father.
