Police in Phalombe have detained a 29-year-old father on Sunday, 4th June for reportedly severing his biological son, 9, from his manhood.
Phalombe police spokesperson, Surgeant Jimmy Kapanja has identified the suspect as Gift Kanyoza from Mwalala Village, Traditional Authority Nazombe in the District.
According to Kapanja, the suspect was apprehended in the early hours of sunday morning as a result of detectives’ intelligence collection.
The suspect is currently being held by the police and will shortly appear in court to answer the charge of grievous harm.
