Pope Francis appoints Reverend father Alfred Chaima as Bishop of Zomba Diocese

Pope Francis has appointed Very Reverend Fr. Alfred Mateyu Chaima from the Archdiocese of Blantyre as Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Zomba.
This has been confirmed in a statement signed by Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM) made available to faceofmalawi.
According to the statement signed by ECM President Archbishop Desmond Tambala, the appointment of Chaima is with effect from June 5, 2023.
