A call has gone to duty bearers and other individuals to support survivors of Cyclone Freddy with farm inputs so that they can re – plant in winter season.

Speaking after receiving a relief donation from Pentecostal Assemblies of Malawi, Monday at Nchalo in Chikwawa, Pastor Sherrif Suzumire of Misewufolo Pentecostal Church in the district, thanked for the donation but was quick that survivors are in dire need of farm inputs.

Suzumire said people in twin districts of Chikwawa and Nsanje cannot depend on relief items for survival, he said they need to build resilient on food security only if they plant their own.

General Secretary for Pentecostal Assemblies of Malawi Bishop Christopher Ndalo said the relief was worth K4.2 million.

Ndalo then thanked Comau an association of Malawians based in Uganda whom some went their for education while others residing in that country for supporting the initiative.
