There was drama at the opening of the 2 day national conference on separation of powers at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital Lilongwe early this week.
It all started with Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Titus Mvalo who in his salutation reffered President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera as the vice president of the republic of Malawi.
The development sent the whole conference room into a laughter.
Realizing his mistake, Mvalo publicly apologized but it was too late as state Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima failed to control himself.
