The body of former Member of Parliament for Chikwawa East Clement Khembo will be laid to rest on Thursday this week at his home village in Chikwawa.

Khembo, the former legislator for Chikwawa East, on Monday succumbed to kidney problems at a hospital in Blantyre.

According to his daughter Lucida, the remains of her father will today be taken to his home at Mandala in Blantyre for a funeral service.

Khembo served as Minister of Physical Disability and the Elderly in the United Democratic Front administration.
