Dossani Trust has donated one million kwacha to Blantyre Police Station as one way of boosting security services in the city.

One of the Trustees for Dosani Trust, Karan Savijani  has said that they decided to donate to the cause because security is essential to everyone.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Obrey Nyirenda says the law enforcers are geared to further reduce criminal activities in Blantyre City, once street camera installation is completed.

Nyirenda, has also commended the development by describing it as a beautiful movement of tightening security in the country.

According to Nyirenda, they planned to source 18 Million Kwacha for the installation, of which 11 Million Kwacha has been sourced.

National Executive Committee Chairperson on Community Policing in Malawi Yunus Lambat commended Dossani Trust for the donation and has called upon other private sector players to emulate the gesture.
