The Elecricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) has warned its employees to stop drinking or taking alcohol at work.
Escom has has since ordered routine testing in all its working environments.
The stern caution is contained in a memo signed by CEO Kamkwamba Kumwenda who states that the order is inline with provisions of safety an subsequent creation of an alcohol free working place.
The memo states that there will be continued testing to tame traces of the acts by workers.
