In a remarkable display of strength and determination, a Nigerian bride refused to let her groom’s kidnapping halt their wedding.
Just a day before the ceremony, the groom was abducted, creating an incredibly difficult situation. TikTok user Victoria Crystal Event, who planned the wedding, shared the extraordinary story.
The bride’s bride price had already been paid in 2021, and all preparations for the wedding were in place when the groom went missing.
Despite the devastating turn of events, the bride decided to proceed with the wedding as planned. Even in the midst of her pain, she briefly danced during the evening reception, demonstrating her resilience and unwavering spirit.
Despite the collective efforts made to secure the groom’s release, their love and commitment triumphed over the challenging circumstances they faced.
She said:
“All vendors were on the ground. Everybody was on the ground. He was kidnapped in the evening. We made contacts to see if they could release him, and the husband was hoping and praying that he was going to be released. We waited till evening, but there was no release and there was no information. We made reports to the police, and no information was coming forth. So we took like 10 minutes and she just had to do a little video. She came out to greet her guests. People were around and she came outside to greet them.”

Our Traditional marriage was fixed for the 6th of January 2022, a day to the wedding, on the 5th of January 2022, he was kidnapped and was released only 8 days after a ransom was paid. The kidnappers told him they where asked to kidnap him and also told him not to get married to his wife again.
